The case of the BBC

On the BBC web page you can find a lot of resources to learn languages. You can learn English, French, Spanish and German among others. There you can find grammar, games, useful phrases, tests to mesure your level and more. However, the most complete web is the one about English, in which there is also a section aimed at teachers, with innovations in English teaching and resources for the class. Official exams

There are different official exams to test and clasify the level that a person has in a determined language. I'm going to tell you about the most important ones:
English: The Cambridge exams are recognised in many different countries fromall around the world and are required in most of European universities. There are also different types of exam depending on what you want to test, for example, business English.
The American version of the Cambridge exams is the TOEFL, which is required in the USA and also if you want to get the Australian nationality.

French: You can test your level of French by taking the DELF (Diplôme d'Études de Langue Française) exam or the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française).

German: You can take the Goethe Zertifikat Deutsch to test your level of German.

Improve your pronunciation

Today I'm going to give you some links to webs where you can find the perfect way to say something in English, because pronunciation is one of the most important things when you learn a language, and sometimes we don't pay much attention to it. That's why I've dedicated this post exclusively to give these interesting links. In English as Second Language you have some theory and tips about pronunciation, but, if you need something more practical, you can go to Howjsay, where you can directly type the word you need to know and they'll pronounce it properly.

If you like music...

A very interesting way to learn English is listening to music. It's very good for learning new vocabulary and it's something you can do at any time. The problem is that sometimes it's difficult to understand exactly what singers say, so you can try to download the lyrics and sing along. There are webs like Lyrics or A-ZLyrics, where you can look for any song by artist or the name of the song, but today I'm going to leave you some videos which include the lyrics so that you can sing like in a karaoke. If you want to search more, you can visit Youtube.

A very useful website

Today I'm going to tell you about a quite interesting website, which is very known nowadays. I'm talking about Wordreference, where you can find a dictionary in several languages, like Spanish, Italian, French, etc. But the most interesting thing about this web is its forum, in which you can ask any doubt you have. Plus, the forum is divided into languages and into grammar or vocabulary, so that it's easier for visitors to find what they're looking for.

Presentation

Hello everyone!
Today is the start of this blog, in which I'm going to talk about languages. I'm a Journalism student at the University of Malaga and I'm passionate about languages, because I think they're extremely important nowadays, no matter what you do, so the reason why I've created this blog is, mainly, to give people some sources to learn languages. I'll focus on the use of new technologies, because I think they're a great and very useful tool when it comes to learning. Here you'll be able to find information about how to learn English, Spanish, French and German.
